War of words

Ours leaders say we’re not supposed to talk to countries that may have links to terrorists. Anyone suggesting that we do gets hit with a backlash of criticism .. accused of legitimizing them ..and even treason. We don’t tolerate disillusionment well. In my opinion ..we are fighting a crusade ..a war of religious ideology ..which is transmitted by words ..and words, like incendiary devices, go off in one mind after another ..spreading exponentially ..like a virus .. getting planted in the brain ..evoking centuries old passions ..until people can’t take anymore ..and they pick up a rock ..or a gun ..or plant an incendiary device in the road ..because one lesson they’ve learned is that you can kill a bear by inflicting a thousand small wounds.

I really believe that, in this war ..the only available exit strategy is dialogue.

my dear brother

i have had a long connection with the leftists.many of my relatives attended the Baku congress in early 1920s etc.

the cold war started not for safeguarding any liberty.the prime motivation was domination and exploitation.the arms race started once the USA developed the nuclear bomb.it made every other country afraid...now the USSR stood for some positive motives also...but now just see what the USA does with the Saudis and Pakistanis....trains these crazy men who have now become a dangerous bacteria which has no known vaccine........saddam was good for these people when he was against iran.....brother this aint democracy.......i have lived in USA and i know it has many poor people who have no say.....but dialogue.....sir .....democrats or republicans.....both are almost the same.....i actually once asked the library counter manager in bridges library on main street niagara falls which i used to visit in oct nov dec 1997....whats the difference between democrats and liberals....and he said ....essentially two crooks with two different names

Take a bunch of money (or that which represents money) mix it with a large dose of fear, add a little bit of religion, a shake or two, add two more heaping doses of fear... and we have death and slaughter, everwhere... what is it about us people? You'd think with the ability to think (supposedly) reason (lol) and speak (however poorly) that we could do better than that. Unfortunately, as you point out, Lee, we do not do very well with the semantics of our human communication... not with what we say, not with what we hear, not with what we interpret... because evil, all too often, bubbles up from fear... but, where does that fear first come from? That fear that would hear incorrectly, interpret incorrectly, relay incorrectly. Damn, I don't even believe in the Garden, not really.

very penetrating and precise analysis...religion ...ideology ...nationalism are cheap tools used by the elite to galnavise the masses for wars and acts of violence designed to serve the elite groups and classes only
